Just as an engaged couple places their trust in a wedding photographer to capture every precious moment of their wedding day, we at The Adore Girls understand that every woman who hires us is also placing a special kind of trust in us, and this could possibly be a once-in-a-lifetime event for her, as well. (Although, more often than not, our clients love this experience so much that they come back again and again.) Every woman who walks through our doors is trusting us to honor and respect her reasons for having a boudoir session, and she is especially trusting our expertise in knowing which outfits, lighting, and poses will be the most flattering for her. However, what she may not realize is that we also take very seriously our responsibilities to create an environment in which she can be vulnerable and feel safe without fear of judgement, to encourage and inspire her to see herself as the amazing and desirable woman that she is, both during and after her photo session, and ultimately to provide her with beautiful, artistic photographs that will always remind her of this empowering experience and her own self-worth.
Now, sure, you can probably find a less expensive photographer who will be more than willing to photograph you wearing little to no clothing, but can you really TRUST that photographer enough to put yourself in such a vulnerable position with them if they don’t even value their own work enough to charge within the industry standards?
Furthermore, even if a boudoir photography studio DOES cost a little bit more, that doesn’t necessarily mean that they care about more than just making money. There are plenty of “chain” boudoir photography companies out there who are competitively priced, but they operate by hiring out freelance photographers in various cities to meet up with clients in a hotel room or some other rented space for a cookie-cutter photo shoot, after which the client is subjected to high-pressure tactics by the salesperson who was also hired by that same company. Here, we are able to provide our clients with not only private, off-street parking and a dedicated Hair & Makeup Room, but also five uniquely decorated boudoir photography sets and one seasonal outdoor set! (That’s more set variety than you’ll find anywhere else in Middle Tennessee!) We are also constantly investing in the latest photo editing software and photography equipment, as well as continued education for our two, full-time boudoir photographers.)
In addition to all the financial investments our small business makes to ensure our clients receive the high-end, luxury boudoir experience they deserve (don’t forget about the complimentary mimosas, our talented professional hair & makeup artists, furniture and decor for frequently changing boudoir set designs, our extensive Client Shoe Collection, etc.), we also have to factor in the amount of time that is devoted to every individual client. This includes our complimentary consultation, the hours spent one-on-one with you in the studio on the day of the photo shoot, the many hours we spend personally editing every gorgeous photograph, the time spent at your Image Debut (which includes a video presentation of the collection of boudoir images that we’ve created for you and also helping you put together your order), the time spent personally designing each page of your boudoir album, and of course delivering or shipping your order safely to you. Those hours really do add up, and this doesn’t even include the fact that we make ourselves available via text, phone, email, and our private Facebook group to answer any questions you may have before, during, or after the session.

While we could continue to rattle off an itemized list of all the expenses involved in running a successful boudoir photography business, our goal today was less about wanting to justify the cost of our services and more about hoping to educate people who were previously unaware about the true VALUE of a boudoir photography experience, which is far greater than many people realize.
