Lost Yourself? Girl...You're Not the Only One.
Can I tell you a secret?
Almost every woman who walks into our studio says some version of the same thing.
I've lost myself.
Not in some dramatic, movie-worthy kind of way. More like somewhere between raising kids, building a career, taking care of everyone else, answering emails, making dinner, paying bills, and trying to keep up with life...she forgot that she matters too. If that sounds familiar, welcome to the club. You're definitely not the only one.
One of my favorite things about boudoir photography isn't even the photos. It's what happens before we ever pick up the camera. You walk into our private Nashville boudoir studio, the music is on, you've got a drink in your hand, hair and makeup are doing their thing, and for the first time in what feels like forever...you get to exhale. Nobody needs anything from you. There are no dishes waiting at home. No work emails. No one calling your name every five minutes. This is your space. Your day. Your chance to just exist without having to be everything for everyone else.
And then the fun starts.
You laugh. You dance around a little. You wear something you never thought you'd have the confidence to wear. You realize you're stronger than you gave yourself credit for. You stop worrying about sucking in your stomach every second. You stop apologizing for taking up space. You just...become yourself again. And honestly? That's where the magic happens. Not because we turned you into someone new, but because the real you finally had room to come back out.
That feeling doesn't disappear when your session is over, either. Sure, you'll leave with gorgeous images, but you'll also leave remembering what it feels like to choose yourself. To take up space. To feel beautiful without needing permission. To look in the mirror and think, There she is.
If you've been feeling like you've disappeared somewhere along the way, maybe this is your sign. Our private boudoir photography studio, just minutes from Nashville in Smyrna, Tennessee, was created to be exactly that kind of space. No judgment. No pressure. No pretending. Just a room full of women cheering you on while you reconnect with the version of yourself that's been there all along, patiently waiting for you to come back.
