Featured Girl Friday - Miss S
This week’s Featured Girl Friday blog also serves as a little throwback to our previous boudoir studio, where we photographed the beautiful and bubbly Miss S.!
Miss S. is 42 years-old and was brought to Nashville years ago from Adams, TN by the Army. Now single after being married for almost 20 years, Miss S. has two kiddos, ages 15 and 18. She works as an Advanced-EMT, firefighter and is an outdoor adventure facilitator for Girl Scouts. Talk about a badass!
Prior to booking your session with The Adore Girls, what hesitations did you have about doing a boudoir shoot?
Like many, my self confidence is lacking. I have extra curves, scars, blemishes and stretch marks. I was not sure I could get in front of a camera in my undies in front of strangers. And my other thought was “what would I do with the photos”?
What was your own personal reason for wanting to have a boudoir session? Was your session a gift for anyone special, or just for yourself?
I had lost a little weight and was newly separated. I wanted to do something for me, a gift for myself. I wanted to be pampered and have a few laughs as well all in hopes of boosting my self confidence.
Why did you choose The Adore Girls for your boudoir experience?
I met these fabulous ladies at the Southern Women’s Show about five or six years ago. They made quite the impression on me with their beautiful smiles and easygoing manner. The photos they had on display were beautiful.
How did your session with The Adore Girls differ from what you were expecting before entering our studio?
I was extremely nervous about being places in uncomfortable poses while in my undies and my curves just hanging out. The session was not uncomfortable at all. The ladies are so easygoing and helped me relax and have fun. The mimosa helped as well. 😉 We laughed, had some fun with my pair of Stormtrooper undies (pew pew), and made an unforgettable experience a reality.
What was your favorite part of the boudoir experience?
My favorite part was getting pampered. We all lead busy lives and tend to forget to take care of ourselves. Having someone fix my hair and makeup and “pick out” my outfits was so very nice. I felt so beautiful that day.
Other than beautiful photos, of course, what else did you take away from your boudoir experience? What type of impact did it have on you?
My self esteem and confidence was definitely boosted that day, even more so when I saw the end results at my reveal. It also reminded me that we are beautiful whether we are dolled up or are wearing yoga pants, messy buns and no makeup.
Now that you are officially an Adore Girl, if you could give advice to any woman reading this who is on the fence about booking a session, what would you tell her?
Don’t wait, book your session now! It is an amazing experience. You will walk away feeling divine and remembering that you are truly a beautiful person.
