Featured Girl Friday - Miss D
We'd like to introduce you to this week's Featured Adore Girl...Miss D! This was her second time in our studio, and it was even more fun than the first time! She is such a wonderful woman, and we are confident that you will love her too!
Miss D is a 36 year-old beauty from right here in Nashville! She is happily married with 4 fur babies. She bravely works as an emergency room nurse. Her proudest accomplishment is having the courage to get a job away from her hometown. This move away from home base has allowed her to grow exponentially in ways she never dreamed!
Prior to booking, what hesitations did you have about a boudoir shoot?
"I was worried about the possibility of the photos being to seductive and too revealing."
What specifically made you give us a call?
"I spoke with a co-worker who went to these wonderful ladies for a shoot. She mentioned how much fun she had and how comfortable they made her feel. I have always wanted to celebrate myself in a special, unique way. Being a nurse and taking care of patients every day, this was something that I could do for me! I did my research on their website and looked at the photos of all these beautiful, gorgeous women. All that was going through my head was 'I want to be one of these women!' I called and booked the next day."
Was your session a gift for anyone special? Or was this one just for you?
"This was my second session and as with the first, I did this for me, and only me! Although, this time it was in celebration my recent marriage!"
How did your session with The Adore Girls differ from what you were expecting before entering our studio?
"I was expecting to be nervous and very timid, as I am a rather quiet and private person. Sarah (makeup artist) had me laughing within the first 10 minutes of sitting in her chair. If anyone knows me, it takes a lot to get me excited over something. After speaking with Jamie and Courtney prior to my session, I came into the shoot with a few ideas for a special picture for my new husband. I had so much fun doing these photos. I found myself laughing and giggling like a little kid in a candy store. I walked out of the studio with three new friends!"
How did your session impact you as a woman?
"My second session has helped me be more of the woman that I am today. I have had more self-confidence since my first session. I am able to view myself as the full-figured attractive woman that I am. Being heavy set and overweight is frowned upon in many ways, but I am able to feel, and respect, the beautiful body that I have! I have been able to gain confidence, self-assurance, and feel sexy all at the same time!"
What was your favorite part of the boudoir experience?
"I really enjoyed getting to celebrate me! On a day-to-day basis, life is so busy and you forget to do things for yourself. Get up, put on scrubs, put hair in ponytail, grab coffee on the way out the door for a 12-hour work day in the ED, go home, eat, shower, bed, and repeat... No time for me! These ladies made me feel exceptional and remarkable. They provided a way for me to acknowledge myself in a unique and creative way! I will be able to treasure the memories (and photos) forever!"
If you could give advice to a woman who was on the fence about booking a session, what would you tell her?
"Be proud and satisfied with who you are! No one is built the same, and we are all meant to be unique! Do not wait to do this... do not wait to lose 20+ pounds, do not wait until life slows down because it only gets faster... I have been a size 28 for most of my adult life and these ladies made me feel like the sexiest woman on the planet!"
