Featured Girl Friday - Miss A
We’d love for you to meet our Featured Adore Girl this week…Miss A! Our time with her in our Murfreesboro studio, Music City Boudoir, was all about celebrating her true beauty! We absolutely loved getting to hang out with her, and can’t wait to see her again!
Miss A is a 34-year-old beauty who currently resides in Estill Springs, TN. She’s happily married to her best friend of 15 years. They have 2 children - a 17-year-old boy and a super sassy 6-year-old girl. She has been blessed to be able to walk away from the corporate world, and now gets to travel and focus on her family and home life! Her proudest accomplishment is being a military wife. She says, “Being a Military Wife isn’t for everyone, but it was the best thing I ever did. I took care of my husband while he took care of our country and family. He served for 13 years before getting injured which lead to his retirement.”
Prior to booking, what hesitations did you have about a boudoir shoot?
“I worried I would look funny. I’m mom of two, & things don’t sit where they use too. I was worried I wouldn’t pick good outfits. I’m no Cardi B. I don’t have style, and I can’t just look good in anything. I also knew I only wanted this session to be with females. When I found The Adore Girls. I knew I had found my place.”
What specifically made you give us a call?
“After spending hours on the interweb looking for a nice place to go that didn’t seem sketchy, l found y’all. All of the pictures looked like what I wanted - pretty, classy, and fierce. Nothing over the top or skanky. And yes, some of the other sites I saw were kinda… let’s just say WOW. After my session I’m sure I made the right choice and I can’t wait for my next session!”
Was your session a gift for anyone special? Or was this one just for you?
“My session was a wedding anniversary gift to my husband. We’ve been married for 15 years this past July. We agreed on no gifts, because we were taking a trip to the Bahamas. But I wasn’t going empty-handed! He’s the type of guy that…if he wants it, he will just get it. I knew this would be the one thing he could not get himself. Photos of me. And let me tell you, he loved it and was shocked that I did it!”
How did your session with The Adore Girls differ from what you were expecting before entering our studio?
“Everything happened just the way I had it in my mind. Hair, makeup, and the photography session. I’m pretty sure meeting with Jamie beforehand really helped me be completely confident going in on shoot day.”
How did your session impact you as a woman?
“It gave me the confidence I hadn’t had in a long time. I had just lost 40lbs. I felt like me again. Like 22-year-old me. Ever since that day, I stand a little taller and keep a smile on my face. Because I did something not many women have the chance or want to do. But I did it and I rocked it!!”
What was your favorite part of the boudoir experience?
“Sheet shots. My favorite thing to do when I have free time is curl up in my bed and watch tv or nap. My crew keeps me so busy. So doing the sheet shots was like being in my happy place.”
If you could give advice to a woman who was on the fence about booking a session, what would you tell her?
“Just do it. If it’s about the money. Skip Starbucks for a while, save up. Not sure what to wear? Get a bunch of outfits… the photographers will help you pick the best! Lastly, do it for yourself first! You only get one life and it is too short not to live your best one. Even if no one sees the pictures. It’s a trophy to yourself of what you’re capable of.”
